STRUCTURE OF CHURCH GOVERNMENT

As Baptists, We practice a congregational polity. "It is that form of church government in which final human authority rests with the local or particular congregation when it gathers for decision-making. This means that decisions about membership, leadership, doctrine, worship, conduct, missions, finances, property, relationships, and the like are to be made by the gathered congregation except when such decisions have been delegated by the congregation to individual members or to groups of members." James Leo Garrett, Jr.

Governing Structures

Our congregational polity is manifested in the following governing structures:

Church Council nominates candidates for Council Members, and shall be approved at General Mass Meeting. And Church Council determines and endorses the Church's and Sub-Committee's spending Budget.

Executive Committee

  1. Executive Committee Meeting convenes once in two months. If situation demands, Urgent Executive Meeting shall be called upon and be convened.

  2. Executive Committee consists of the followings:

    • Vice President

    • General Secretary

    • Vice-Secretary

    • Treasurer

    • Head of each Committee

    • Church Deacons

  3. Motions put forwarded by Committee shall be adopted and ratified by Executive Committee on behalf of Church Council.

Committees

We have Men, Women, and Youth Committees; Christian Education Committee; Committee of Evangelism; Development Committee; Music Committee and Decoration Committee. Department and Committee makes its own proposals and budget, which will be directed to EC in order to be approved. Each committee faithfully executes each own ministry proposal, and the responsibilities assigned and entrusted by EC and Church Council.
